The roulette wheel consists 38 compartments with numbers from 1 to 36, which are colored black and red, and two green compartments with 0 and 00. Roulette players can bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers; or they can choose to bet red or black; high or low; odd or even. Roulette is a fast moving, simple and exciting game offering many different types of bets and payoffs. European wheels have only the 0 green section. When all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel and a ball bounces from slot to slot until finally coming to rest in one of them. If the roulette ball lands in the 0 slot, the game ends and all players receive half their original bets back. Playing roulette you should give some indication to the dealer as to what value of chip denomination you prefer to be
provided with. The winning roulette number is marked by the Dealer. After the roulette wheel stops the dealer will then mark the winning number on the betting area and the bets are paid accordingly. Once the roulette ball has found its slot, the dealer will call out the winning number and place a marker on that number's spot on the layout. You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
