Roulette is of French origin and was first played in New Orleans. The roulette wheel consists of slots or pockets numbered from 1 to 36, which are either red or black. The outcome of a game of Roulette is determined by where the ball stops on the Roulette wheel. Roulette players can bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers; or they can choose to bet red or black; high or low; odd or even. The zero and double zero numbers are in green and on opposite sides of the wheel, the colors
and odd/even numbers alternate, and the numbers themselves are randomly distributed. You could place five 1 dollar bets on five completely different inside bets (specific numbers or combinations of numbers) If the roulette ball lands in the 0 slot, the game ends and all players receive half their original bets back. When the roulette ball comes to rest in one of the slots, the dealer will call out
the winning number and settle all bets. The roulette ball falls into one of the wheel's numbered compartments which determines the winning number. Losing roulette bets are collected and winning bets are paid. You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
