The Roulette wheel layout used in Europe and in America generally not the same. The American version of roulette has a single zero and a double zero versus the French
version with just a single zero. The French roulette wheel is divided into 37 slots, numbered 1 through 36, plus 0, there is no 00. If you play black-red, odd/even or high-low,
you must place the roulette table minimum for each and every bet. In a casino, the person who spins the wheel is called a croupier. When all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel and a ball bounces from slot to slot until finally coming to rest in one of them. If the roulette ball lands in the 0 slot, the game ends and all players receive half their original bets back. The ball slows and eventually stops in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette
wheel. After the roulette wheel stops the dealer will then mark the winning number on the betting area and the bets are paid accordingly. After all payoffs have been made, the Dealer will announce "Place your bets. You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
