Roulette is a game of chance and consists of a Roulette wheel and table. The Roulette wheel has numbered pockets ranging from 00 to 36. The American roulette is divided in to 38 slots,
numbered 1 through 36, plus 0 and 00. If you are playing at a roulette table with a 5 dollar minimum, you are required to place 5 dollars on each of your outside bets, and-or a total of at least 5 dollars on your inside bets. The zero and double zero numbers are in green and on opposite sides of the wheel, the colors
and odd/even numbers alternate, and the numbers themselves are randomly distributed. Every roulette player has different colored chips for easier identifying. The roulette chips are worthless at the other tables in the same casino, so do not
bother trying to stack them under your blackjack chips or anything foolish like that. In American roulette the addition of the 00 section greatly increases the odds in favor of the house. Winning bets are determined by the numbered slot in which the ball comes to rest. When you get your roulette chips they will not be marked with a denomination, you choose it, and all of the chips will reflect that worth - the dealer keeps track
of that by associating the amount and color with a 'lammer'. Roulette is a banking game: all bets are placed against the house. After all payoffs have been made, the Dealer will announce "Place your bets.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
