Roulette players make bets by placing chips in various locations on the table. The roulette wheel consists of slots or pockets numbered from 1 to 36, which are either red or black. The American roulette is divided in to 38 slots,

The ball stops in one of the numbered pockets of the Roulette wheel. American wheels have two green sections marked 00. If the roulette ball lands in the 0 slot, the game ends and all players receive half their original bets back. Playing roulette you should give some indication to the dealer as to what value of chip denomination you prefer to be
provided with. Numbers 1-18 are considered the
lows numbers, 19-36 are the highs. Roulette is a banking game: all bets are placed against the house. Once the roulette ball has found its slot, the dealer will call out the winning number and place a marker on that number's spot on the layout. You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
