American and European roulettes have a wheel that is divided into numerous slots. Roulette uses a special wheel, a betting layout, and chips. Roulette players can bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers; or they can choose to bet red or black; high or low; odd or even.
In Roulette the bets are placed on an area of the table marked with separate boxes containing individual numbers. Roulette chips have no value at other tables. The dealer spins the roulette wheel in one direction and the small ball in the opposite one. When the roulette ball comes to rest in one of the slots, the dealer will call out
the winning number and settle all bets. The winning roulette number is marked by the Dealer. After the roulette wheel stops the dealer will then mark the winning number on the betting area and the bets are paid accordingly. After all payoffs have been made, the Dealer will announce "Place your bets. You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
