Roulette is a very easy to learn and really exciting game. After all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel in one direction and tosses the small ball in the opposite direction. The roulette wheel consists 38 compartments with numbers from 1 to 36, which are colored black and red, and two green compartments with 0 and 00. You usually find most tables in Las Vegas with a minimum roulette bet of $1 - $3. The sections are numbered from 1 to 36, (half red and half black, half odd and half even) plus a green section marked 0. The zero and
double zero numbers are in green and on opposite sides of the wheel, the colors
and odd/even numbers alternate, and the numbers themselves are randomly
distributed. The roulette chips are worthless at the other tables in the same casino, so do not
bother trying to stack them under your blackjack chips or anything foolish like that. The dealer spins the roulette wheel in one direction and the small ball in the opposite one. The ball slows and eventually stops in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette
wheel. Numbers 1-18 are considered the
lows numbers, 19-36 are the highs. Roulette is a banking game: all bets are placed against the house.
When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier.
